Bulk post

John just informed me that there is a recall on Costco frozen fruit mix, which I have been eating, daily, for the last month.  So now I probably have Hepatitis.  I am doing a bulk post in the event that I don't make it through the night.

Some pictures of our house in Nice.

Don't drink too much, those stairs are tough.

Even more lethal if you want to make it up to the balcony.

But totally worth the view when you get there.

Out our window.

View of the French Alps from Antibes.

 Taking the train to Paris.

That Delta blanket it came in handy again.  Suck it Michele.

Welcome to Versailles.

 The Hall of Mirrors.

The wall of weirdos.

 Louis XV's ashes. Just kidding.

 Versailles' backyard.

The King's bed.

Tonight's dinner.  Fondue! They gave us enough cheese for at least four people.

John is banned from the Coke Zero.....it causes gout.

God damn that cheese is good.

Dessert in Paris.

Nice Part Deux: Electric Boogaloo

We rented a house just outside of Nice.  It was located half way up a mountain.  The above picture shows the start of the incline.

If you keep going up the mountain, past our house, you will see this castle.  Unfortunately we didn’t have time to go inside. Friends we met along the way told us that while the Renoir museum is under construction they have put some of the collection inside the castle.

The view from the top made the painful climb worth it.  In the background you can see the French Alps.

At the top there were several restaurants and bocci courts.

There were a few bakeries in our neighborhood.  We stopped at this one several times. The bread was gorgeous.  I am definitely going to work on perfecting my French bread recipe when I get home.
